Congress Accuses Amit Shah of Insulting Ambedkar, Demands Apology

New Delhi: The Congress party has accused Union Home Minister Amit Shah of insulting Dr. B.R. Ambedkar during his speech in Parliament. The allegations come after Shah made remarks about Ambedkar legacy, which the Congress claims misrepresented the contributions of India chief architect of the Constitution.

During a recent debate in Parliament, Shah spoke about Ambedkar role in nation-building. However, Congress leaders assert that his comments downplayed the significance of Ambedkar struggle for social justice and equality. Party spokespersons have termed Shah remarks as disrespectful to Ambedkar memory and legacy.

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge demanded that Amit Shah offer a public apology for his remarks, calling them an affront to Dalits and marginalized communities. Kharge emphasized that such comments undermine the ideals of equality and justice that Ambedkar stood for.

Several other senior Congress leaders echoed this sentiment, accusing the government of attempting to distort the history and significance of Ambedkar work.

The controversy has sparked a political storm, with opposition parties calling for a debate on the issue in the coming days.
