Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2025: What to Expect
Samsung is set to host its first Galaxy Unpacked event of 2025 today, January 22, in San Jose, California. The event, scheduled for 10 PM UAE time, will be streamed live on Samsung YouTube channel and official website.
The highlight of the showcase is anticipated to be the unveiling of the Galaxy S25 series, comprising the Galaxy S25, S25 Plus, and S25 Ultra models. These devices are expected to feature the new Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, support for Qi2 wireless charging, and enhanced AI capabilities. Notably, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is rumored to include a 16GB RAM variant, marking a significant upgrade from its predecessor.
Accompanying the hardware, Samsung will introduce One UI 7, its latest interface based on Android 15. This update brings features like the Now Bar for live notifications on the lock screen, an updated camera app interface, and improved Galaxy AI tools designed to enhance user convenience and personalization.
Beyond smartphones, there is speculation about the introduction of Project Moohan, Samsung augmented reality (AR) headset developed in collaboration with Google and Qualcomm. While a 2025 launch is expected, the Unpacked event may provide more details about this venture into the AR market.
Pre-orders for the Galaxy S25 series are likely to commence immediately following the event, with a reported release date of February 7. Consumers who pre-register may receive a $50 credit towards additional eligible products, as part of Samsung promotional offers.
